# Setup

Stable 2.21.0 & Development 2.22.0:

* Put **messages\_en.properties** into the **.../plugins/Essentials/messages/** folder

* Restart your server (or reload with **/ess reload**)

If you're unsure what EssentialsX version you have, run **/ess version**

* Set **locale: en** in Essentials/config.yml
* Restart your server (or reload with /ess reload)
